“In the words of my wonderful friend and mentor Mona Hassan – ‘With all the conflicts happening all over the world today in Palestine, Sudan and Ukraine, we as doctors should raise our voices. Patients should have access to care. Refugees have cancer too. We should have international policies to protect patients, to protect basic human rights. Cancer, dialysis, heart failure do not magically get cured if there is war.’
