Honored to accept an award on behalf of Roche Malaysia from Datuk Dr Saunthari Somasundaram, President of National Cancer Society Malaysia, for supporting the capability building of the health ecosystem at the 1st National Cancer Conference 2024. The theme ‘Bridging Gaps, Building Hope and Empowering Lives’ resonated with our commitment to upskill healthcare stakeholders and patient groups’ knowledge on healthcare systems.
The award acknowledges Roche’s efforts, including the series of Suara Kita patient advocacy groups capability building workshops, the Breast Cancer Masterclass, and the Sabah Nurse Basic Oncology Care Course. I am continuously inspired by the 20 patient group leaders and members who are committed to keep learning and understanding about the healthcare system and advocacy to be valuable partners, providing lived experiences of pateints on decisions related to patients Nothing About Us Without Us A proud moment was the appointment of a patient group representative Shakir Aziz for being appointed by MaHTAS as patient representative in the Clinical Practise Guideline and Health Technology Assessment Consultative Council.”
