“Excited to announce the opening of our brand new intraoperative MRI (iMRI) suite in perioperative services. This has been a dream since initial mockup designs in 2021, it’s incredible to see this vision become a reality.
Thank you to Jeff Weinberg of Neurosurgery, whose dedication and expertise have been instrumental in bringing this suite to life. Special thanks also to Peter Pisters and Rosanna Morris for their unwavering support and for today’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The iMRI suite is set to revolutionize how we perform neurosurgical procedures, offering significant benefits for enhanced precision in tumor removal and real-time intraop brain imaging. This is particularly beneficial for surgeries involving brain tumors, and allows our surgeons to adapt surgical plans in real-time, ensuring the best possible care for our patients.
