Jay and Kendal Patry have made a transformative $1 million investment to establish KingstonHSC’s first-ever Clinical Chair in Genomics – a game-changing role in an area that many call the future of healthcare.
Genomics uses the power of our DNA to create personalized treatments tailored to individual patients, moving beyond the traditional one-size-fits-all approach to care. This cutting-edge field has already helped KHSC pioneer breakthroughs, like developing one of Ontario’s early COVID-19 genomic sequencing programs.
The inaugural Clinical Chair Dr. Prameet Sheth is a KHSC trailblazer who, along with his team, has been instrumental in advancing genomics locally. Their work will drive life-changing innovations in cancer detection, infectious disease management, and more.
