Stathis Kastritis received Robert Kyle award for contributions in Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia

Since 2003, the IMF has honored an outstanding physician each year with the Robert A. Kyle Lifetime Achievement Award. The award, named for its first recipient, is presented to an individual whose body of work in the field of multiple myeloma has made significant advances in research, treatment, and care of myeloma patients.

Efstathios Kastritis, MD, is an Associate Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece.

Dr Kastritis worked in the Oncology and Hematology Department at the University of Athens, School of Medicine, Athens, Greece between 2006 and 2008 and was also a researcher at the Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center, Division of Hematologic Neoplasia, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, until 2010. Dr Kastritis was Assistant Professor of Clinical Therapeutics at the University of Athens School of Medicine, Athens, Greece, until 2016.

Dr Kastritis currently serves on the Scientific Advisory Committee of the International Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF).
