Maria Ansari: I want to recognize Brooke Vuong on her appointment to the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Breast Cancer in Young Women

”More than one in 10 new breast cancer cases are diagnosed in women under 50. Their experiences and perspectives have been overlooked for too long, and I am so proud of my colleagues who are enhancing cancer care for younger women.

Brooke Vuong and the breast surgery team at KP Northern California are leaders in managing breast cancer in younger women. I want to recognize Dr. Vuong on her appointment to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Breast Cancer in Young Women. I can’t wait to see how our colleagues will continue to shape the field for the better.”
