Teresa Harris Graham, CEO of Roche Pharmaceuticals, shared on LinkedIn:

“Lung cancer incidence has risen 84% in women but dropped 36% in men over the last 40 years.

Despite being the leading cause of cancer deaths in women – accounting for almost twice as many deaths as breast cancer – the stigma and lack of awareness surrounding lung cancer means women are less likely to speak to their physicians about screening, often resulting in delayed diagnosis, less counseling and fewer referrals.

There is a dire need for greater awareness, one that we are committed to address through X Project.
