Sharlene Gill: Impact of workload and wellness on the Canadian medical oncology workforce

Sharlene Gill shared on LinkedIn:

“Sharing the publication of our Canadian Association of Medical Oncologists (CAMO) survey findings on the impact of workload and wellness on the Canadian medical oncology workforce:

  • 32% response rate
  • 83% report workload
  • 56% considering reducing FTE…35% considering leaving Medical Oncology

Surveys are imperfect but these findings are not unexpected…we need to think differently about how to meet the cancer care workforce demands for the increasing number of Canadians who will need it.”
