Belén Garijo: Building a better future for young people

Belén Garijo shared on LinkedIn:

“How can we all contribute to building a better future for young people? Let’s start by helping ensure our public and private organizations properly hear and respect their voices.

To contribute to this ambitious goal, we at Merck Group launched the FutUReProject within the framework of the European Parliament yesterday in Strasbourg.

Together with other EU and global leaders, we began an ongoing dialogue that will engage our younger generations in discussions about how to design a better society WITH them and FOR them.

Our first workshop focused on emotional health, a cornerstone for a cohesive, prosperous, and sustainable society. Almost 90% of young people consider this one of the most critical aspects of their lives.

A big thanks to María Rodríguez Alcázar from the European Youth Forum, Florian Boschek from HPV-Impfung jetzt, Mojca Čeh from the International Youth Health Organization, Angie Martínez Pradas, Daniel Caspary and our many colleagues from across Merck who ignited this adventure. This vital conversation will continue. Stay tuned.”
