Tunji Alausa: State Specialist Hospital in Ikole Ekiti will be covering into a Federal Medical Centre

”On Friday, July 5th, the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare signed an MOU with the Ekiti State Government for the handover of the State Specialist Hospital in Ikole Ekiti to the federal government as the Federal Medical Centre, Ikole Ekiti.
The transition of the hospital into a Federal Medical Centre will offer specialized medical care, attract skilled healthcare professionals, and provide a platform for cutting-edge medical research. The benefits will extend far beyond Ikole Ekiti, positively impacting the entire region and contributing to the overall improvement of our national healthcare system.
This transition into an FMC further underscores the goal of Mr. President to decentralize and democratize healthcare, ensuring that every Nigerian, regardless of their location, has access to quality healthcare services.
I would like to commend Governor Oyebanji, Deputy Governor Chief Monisade Afoye, Honourable Commissioner Oyebanji Filani, and the Ekiti State Government for their foresight and prioritization of healthcare. I would also like to thank the kabiyesi’s and regents who came and would driver further awareness of the FMC to their people. Together, we can continue to revolutionise Nigeria’s Healthcare system for the better.”
