“Last Women’s month, I attended Nigeria Health Watch ‘Celebrating Womanhood Art Gala’. The theme ‘Her Strength In Every Story’ showed how creativity fuels advocacy – through spoken word, fashion and powerful panels.
Met advocate women like Vivianne Ihekweazu who reminded us: Maternal health isn’t just women’s business – it’s society’s foundation.
Yet in Nigeria: 1 in 7 women risk dying during childbirth, 82% of deaths are preventable, Rural women travel hours for healthcare.
Big thanks to organizations like MSD for Mothers, Female Artists Association and National art gallery of nigeria for driving change. Their work proves: when we merge creativity with healthcare advocacy, we make the invisible crises impossible to ignore.”
