“These are the brilliant minds of the Faculty of Medical Sciences I UM6P-FMS. All are first-year medical and pharmacy students who have received mentorship and introductory courses in evidence-based medicine and scientific communication, directly observing the impact of research on daily practice.

They presented their projects brilliantly and each received awards to encourage them to continue on the path of excellence.

This innovative educational approach leverages active learning as a key mediator for long-term memory retention. Importantly, early exposure to research through this kind of initiatives establishes UM6P – Mohammed VI Polytechnic University as the premier institution for preparing the future workforce of clinician-scientists.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the leader and president of UM6P – Mohammed VI Polytechnic University Mr Hicham El Habti, and Professor Rachid EL Fatimy, the dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, for their vision of prioritizing research in the academic hospital center and the training of future medical doctors.
