“I’m here advocating for AI in healthcare every day because I truly believe there’s no tool more powerful for accelerating clinical trials, drug development, and early cancer detection. The longer it takes for oncology and hospital leaders to embrace AI, the greater the disservice to our patients. We owe them better outcomes, faster.
Yes, all AI solutions are not created equal, and there’s a lot to be done in terms of addressing bias, equity, and transparency. But overcoming these challenges requires bold leadership – leaders who approach AI with curiosity, willingness to experiment, and, importantly, with urgency.
I foresee a future, perhaps as soon as next year, where almost all hospital systems will have enterprise-level GPT for their teams. This will be a giant leap towards organizing around data governance and trialing innovative AI solutions.
