“No Cancer Patient Should Go Hungry!

The cancer team at St. Elizabeth Healthcare is incredibly proud of our food pantry for cancer patients (and their families), aptly named Nourish.

In our first year since opening in June 2023, we’ve achieved the following milestones:

• Pounds of food distributed: 42,482
• People fed: 5,617
• Meals provided: 35,402
• Bags of fresh greens supplied: 790 (courtesy of 80 Acres Farms)
• Several fresh produce pop-ups
• Hundreds of prepackaged bags distributed to other St. Elizabeth cancer care locations.

Douglas Flora is the Executive Medical Director of Oncology Services at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, overseeing clinical operations, strategic planning, and the expansion of cancer programs. He is also the co-founder of the Center for Precision Medicine; Genomic Health.

As the Editor-in-Chief of ‘AI in Precision Oncology,’ the first peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to this field, he plays a pivotal role in advancing research.
