Elizabeth Ugwoma Awo-Ejeh: Let’s talk about something we often overlook
Elizabeth Ugwoma Awo-Ejeh, Advocate for Early Detection and Women’s Empowerment, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Let’s talk about something we often overlook.
Rest.Yes, that thing we all think we can do without until life forces us to slow down. Today, I’m giving myself permission to hit the pause button, recharge my energy, and rethink my strategy.
You know that feeling when your phone starts lagging because you have a thousand tabs open?
That’s what happens to us when we keep going without stopping to refresh. Rest is like closing all those tabs and giving yourself the bandwidth to function better.
After some rest, comes the fun part—restrategizing.
This is where I ask myself the real questions: What’s working? What’s not?
How can I do better without doing too much?
It’s like playing a game of chess, but this time, I’m the queen and I’m making the bold moves.
This visibility challenge has reminded me that it’s not just about being seen but about showing up fully charged and with intention. And that only happens when I take the time to rest, reflect, and refine my approach.
So here’s your reminder: it’s okay to pause. Recharge those batteries and come back swinging. Because when you rest well, you shine even brighter.”
