Some of the key takeaways of the panel included:

• Stark disparities exist in cancer screening and prevention.
• The difference in genetics between various ethnicities and the need for molecular testing in minorities.
• The importance and opportunity to have more diverse patient population accruals for clinical trials.
• Rarely can a care disparity be fully addressed by a single stakeholder; hence the need to bring many stakeholders together to help reduce cancer care disparities.”
