“Week 4 of the Global Access To Anti GD2 Campaign

This week, I am thrilled to share some exciting news about our progress and achievements in advocating for global access to anti-GD2 therapies.

I am honored to announce that our abstract titled ‘Assessing Global Accessibility and Affordability of Anti-GD2 Monoclonal Antibodies for Neuroblastoma Treatment: A Survey-Based Study’ has been selected for an oral presentation at the Annual Congress of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP), held in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, from October 17 – 20, 2024.

Additionally, I have been awarded the prestigious SIOP Young Investigator Award for this work! This recognition underscores the importance of our research and the impact it has on the pediatric oncology community.

Our study surveyed 33 centers across 27 countries, revealing significant disparities in the availability and affordability of anti-GD2 therapies for treating high-risk neuroblastoma. Despite advances in treatment, the high cost of anti-GD2 monoclonal antibodies remains a barrier, especially in low- and middle-income countries.

By advocating for the inclusion of anti-GD2 therapies in the World Health Organization Essential Medicines List, we can help make these life-saving treatments accessible to children worldwide.

Join us in our mission to enhance global access to these critical therapies. Your support, knowledge sharing, and advocacy are key to changing lives.

Let’s give every child the future they deserve.

Apart from that make sure to mark your calendars and join us in Honolulu.”
