“It was a pleasure participating in the industry panel discussion moderated by Dr. Richard Pazdur, Director, FDA Oncology Center of Excellence and Office of Oncologic Diseases, and Dr. Axel Glasmacher, Board Member, Cancer Drug Development Forum (CDDF) at the CDDF workshop in Krakow on cancer clinical trials in Central and Eastern Europe, along with expert panelists, Dr. Pawel Przewiezlikowski, CEO, Ryvu Therapeutics, Radek Spisek, CEO, Sotio, Ewa Mark-Pawłowicz, Clinical Site Management, AstraZeneca, Alexander Hope, Regulatory Affairs International Lead, Daiichi Sankyo and Laura Huggins, Global Head, Oncology Regulatory Affairs, Merck Group.
The discussion focused on opportunities for cancer drug development in the region and how pharmaceutical and biotech companies are leveraging opportunities and navigating challenges. The role of Poland, the host country for the workshop, as a thriving hub for both early and late stage clinical development in oncology was discussed in the context of the national healthcare system as well as the highly skilled workforce in the country.”
