“Thrilled to share our lab’s latest research on multiomics and spatial mapping of immunotherapy responses in kidney cancer patients in Nature Medicine.

• We found that heritable and spatial immunogenic traits co-predict the efficacy of immunotherapy in kidney cancer patients.
• An artificial intelligence or machine learning-derived gene signature, integrating germline HLA characteristics with a distinct spatial community of CD8+T cells and tumor-associated macrophages showing immunogenic interactions, predicts response to immunotherapy in patients with advanced kidney cancer.
• Our biomarker works in both controlled clinical trials as well as real-world patient cohort, which emphasizes its clinical readiness and utility potential.
• We also demonstrate how our biomarker can be used for discovery of new immunotherapy targets or for informing new combinatorial therapy designs!
