“This past weekend was truly special for me as I had the honor of being the keynote patient speaker at the annual Adolescents and Youth Adults (AYA) Cancer Summit for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

As I stood on that stage, surrounded by healthcare professionals, cancer patients, and caregivers, I could not help but reflect on my own journey. I remembered the feeling of loneliness and despair, sitting among a crowd of people, longing for a glimmer of hope and assurance that life could be beautiful after cancer.

Every word I spoke felt like a lifeline to those listening. In my speech, ‘There are miracles every day; why can’t you be one?’ I shared my story with passion and sincerity, knowing firsthand the impact that a message of hope can have on someone’s life.

For me, speaking at events like these is deeply personal. It’s a chance to give back, to offer comfort and inspiration to those who may be struggling.
