“ASCO24 did not disappoint! So appreciative of Lynn Schuchter, Angela DeMichele, and Thomas LeBlanc for the fantastic meeting and all their hard work as ASCO President, Scientific Chair, and Education chair for 2024. I am leaving the conference filled with renewed energy and inspiration.

The breadth of innovative research and collaboration showcased at ASCO was truly remarkable. I had the pleasure of attending engaging sessions and participating in meaningful discussions that pushed the boundaries of what we can achieve in oncology. The advancements in personalized medicine and risk stratification through a variety of tools offered a glimpse into a future where cancer treatment is even more personalized and effective for each individual.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have connected with so many passionate professionals who are all working tirelessly towards a common goal—improving patient care and outcomes in the fight against cancer. The insights and knowledge exchanged at the meeting are invaluable and will influence my work and research at Sarah Cannon Research Institute.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this meeting, the learning, the discussion, and the commitment to improve cancer care and outcomes for all. Looking forward to what we can all accomplish together until the next ASCO25 and stepping into the role of Scientific Chair for this meeting helping Robin Zon bring her vision for the presidency year to life! ”

Erika Hamilton is a medical oncologist and the Director of Breast Cancer and Gynecologic Cancer Research at Sarah Cannon Research Institute (USA). In her role, Dr. Hamilton oversees the research program and clinical trial menu for gynecologic and breast cancer from a medical oncology perspective.

Dr. Hamilton is a past chair of ASCO’s Scientific Breast Committee’21-’22, participant of the ASCO Leadership Development Program, Associate Editor for Clinical Breast Cancer, co-chair for Great Debates and Updates in Women’s Oncology Conference, and a board member of the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Central Tennessee.
