David Planchard heads the Thoracic Pathology Committee at Gustave Roussy where he coordinates patient care for lung cancer, pleural mesothelioma, and thymic tumors. Additionally, he serves as president of the International Center for Thoracic Cancers (CICT), a collaborative effort between Gustave Roussy, Marie-Lannelongue Hospital, and Paris Saint-Joseph Hospital.

Dr. Planchard specializes in biomarkers and targeted therapies for bronchial cancers, along with expertise in immunotherapy. He has contributed to over 100 clinical trials and authored more than 130 articles in esteemed international journals.
