“Incredibly creative way to raise funds for breast cancer research!

Blizzard Entertainment and the The Breast Cancer Research Foundation have teamed up once again with the launch of the Mercy for a Cause campaign, within the video game Overwatch.

‘Seven years ago, the fundraiser contributed to developing advanced AI methods for mammogram images, creating predictive models for triple-negative disease, identifying drugs that can delay tumor formation in breastcancer patients as well as supporting a gene classifier that can predict the risk of the disease in patients with ductal carcinoma in situ. It also helped to launch the first initiative designed to pinpoint exactly how to prevent breastcancer in each individual person—what’s been dubbed The Precision Prevention Initiative (PPI).'”
