“Oligometastatic esophagogastric cancer (OMEC-4):

Definition:

• One organ with ≤3 metastases
• One extra-regional lymph node station
• Initially OM and without progression in number of metastases after systemic therapy

Staging:

• PET/CT imaging is recommended for basal staging and for restaging after systemic therapy

Treatment:

• Synchronous OM or metachronous OM and a DFI ≤2 years: systemic therapy followed by restaging and local therapy
• Metachronous OMD and DFI >2: upfront local therapy”
