“Cardiotoxity of CAR T-cell Therapy in Multiple Myeloma
- CardioOncology IMS24 Boston
- 5 to 10% develop cardiomyopathy/heartfailure
- cardiotoxicity associated with adverse outcomes
- Pre CAR T cardiovascular work up & optimization and close monitoring post CART are crucial
- Early use of anti-IL-6 agenet
- Need larger and longer-term data to better understand lasting impact of immunomdulation on the cardiovascular system
