“Last week I had the incredible opportunity to visit the WHO Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen!
As part of the WHO/Europe and EU’s collaborative effort in the EVID-ACTION Project, to bring evidence into action to reduce alcohol consumption and harm, I was asked to participate in a workshop focusing on communications and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Through this experience, I’ve gained valuable insights into the world of academic research and communications. Exploring the role of AI, and learning about innovative ways to convey messages to the audience.
A special thanks to Daša Kokole for this unique opportunity she provided me as my supervisor, and to Jasmijn de Veld for her collaboration and support throughout our shared thesis journey, working closely together has been incredibly rewarding.
Enthusiastic to contribute to meaningful public health initiatives, I will continue my research by writing my thesis the upcoming months on the perspectives of the Dutch adult population regarding alcohol health warning labels.
