“I firmly believe that everyone, regardless of their location or circumstances, deserves the chance to reach their fullest potential in all aspects of life.
This belief has fueled my dedication and advocacy for equitable oncology care over the past decade. Which is why, when presented with the opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Chyke Doubeni, I immediately jumped in.
Dr. Chyke Doubeni is internationally acclaimed for his contributions to cancer prevention, public health, and health equity. He has been a member of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers in 2010, and currently serves on the National Institutes of Health’s National Cancer Institute (NCI) Board of Scientific Advisors. Additionally, as the Chief Health Equity Officer for one of the largest medical systems in the U.S., he continues to be a driving force for change in this crucial area.
But behind his MANY professional accomplishments, Dr. Doubeni is also a remarkably kind and supportive friend. Although we only worked together for a brief time, we’ve remained connected, and seeing his success has only further inspired me to do more.
Today, catching up in Nashville reminded me of the joy of reconnecting with old friends. Regardless of distance, having supportive people in your corner is crucial and maintaining those relationships is essential for living a full and purposeful life.
