By the end of the course\, participants should be able to effectively discuss and refine their research ideas\, maximizing their scientific value. \nThe course content includes discussions on research projects submitted by participants\, allowing them to receive feedback and learn from both peers and expert faculty. DESCRIPTION:Dose Modelling and Verification for External Beam Radiotherapy by ESTRO will be held from June 15-19\, 2025 at Vilnius\, Lithuania. \nThe course is aimed at medical physicists and experienced dosimetrists with practical experience in radiotherapy physics and treatment planning systems. It focuses on reviewing external beam radiotherapy physics\, multi-source modeling\, and dose calculation algorithms. It covers commissioning treatment planning systems\, dosimetry equipment\, and dose verification methods for advanced external beam therapy. \nCourse content includes radiation transport physics\, Linac head design\, patient and phantom characterization\, kernel-based and Monte Carlo dose calculation\, and radiation detector systems for TPS commissioning. The course also includes monitor unit calculations\, commissioning and quality assurance of treatment planning systems\, plan QA\, and treatment verification using in-vivo dosimetry. \nEarly Registration deadline: 19 March 2025.
