DESCRIPTION:The European Women Cancer Assembly 2026\, organized by Women Cancer Europe (WCE)\, will take place on September 28–30\, 2026\, in Brussels\, Belgium\, with online participation also available. \nThe three-day hybrid assembly is designed as a pan-European space bringing together women affected by cancer\, survivors\, carers\, healthcare professionals\, researchers\, policymakers\, civil society\, and industry representatives to help shape more equitable and patient-centred cancer care. \nThe programme will address the cancer pathway from diagnosis and treatment through survivorship\, with particular attention to areas that are often overlooked\, including mental health\, sexual health\, quality of life\, employment\, caregiving\, financial stability\, gender-responsive research\, clinical trial representation\, and whole-person care. \nThrough speeches\, panel discussions\, and co-creation workshops\, participants will also contribute to policy recommendations and advocacy priorities aimed at improving cancer care across Europe.

DESCRIPTION:The World Cancer Research Day International Event will take place on September 23\, 2026\, in Brussels\, Belgium\, with online participation available. \nThe event marks the 10th anniversary of World Cancer Research Day (WCRD) and will be held under the theme “Advancing Cancer Research Together.” \nCo-organized by EORTC and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC)\, the international public event will bring together leading voices in cancer research to discuss current challenges\, opportunities\, and the future of cancer research\, while highlighting the importance of placing patients at the center of research. \nThe event is organized under the presidency of Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain\, honorary president of AECC and its Scientific Foundation\, and in the presence of HRH Princess Dina Mired of Jordan\, Honorary President of EORTC. \nThe program will include presentations on World Cancer Research Day\, academic clinical trials\, and international cancer research\, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A featuring researchers\, clinicians\, patient advocates\, and representatives of cancer organizations.
