DESCRIPTION:The symposium “From Insight to Impact: Closing the Gap Between Basic Science and Clinical Trials”\, organized by SIOP-NEXT\, will take place on 14 September 2026\, from 08:00 to 17:00\, at the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute in San Antonio\, Texas—one day before SIOP 2026. \nDesigned for early-career professionals in pediatric oncology\, including postdoctoral researchers\, clinician-scientists\, and senior PhD candidates\, the programme will explore how biological discoveries can be integrated into clinical trials and translated into better treatments for children with cancer. \nSessions will address translational research in LMIC settings\, career development\, funding and opportunities within SIOP\, mentorship\, and collaboration between laboratory and clinical communities. Registration costs $25 and includes breakfast\, lunch\, coffee breaks\, scientific sessions\, panel discussions\, and networking activities.
